Elena Izoita ARNP-C, FNP, MSN, CGP
Elena Izoita found herself drawn to helping people since childhood. Long before she became a Nurse Practitioner, she was the honorary nurse at youth camps, family gatherings, and the first one her friends would call when catastrophes happened.
She was born in Sukhumi, the capital city of Abkhazia, beautifully located on the Black Sea in Northwestern Georgia. Her family moved to the United States while she was a toddler, but she continues to speak Russian fluently and remains involved with the national Russian-speaking community.
Currently, Elena lives in Orlando with her husband and three beautiful children. Before moving to Florida, she lived in Portland, Oregon where she learned to love the outdoors. She continues to enjoy gardening and spending time in nature.
Wholesome, home-cooked meals were an important part of growing up in a Russian home. Today, she nourishes her family with homemade Borscht, sauerkraut and many other healing foods. She even keeps chickens on her property to provide her family with a daily breakfast of fresh eggs, along with raw milk, and raw butter from a local co-op.
Education and Professional Experience
Elena received her Master’s in Nursing from the University of South Florida then took on a variety of positions which led her to discover her real passion— functional medicine. She started her clinic, Izoita Integrative Health right before the birth of her third child. He was born with a brain injury which required constant attention and therapy, his health caused her to make the difficult decision to step away from the clinic and refocus her attention to her responsibilities as a mother.
Elena became a certified GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) Practitioner after experiencing personal gut-health problems. After taking the journey herself, she learned to help others with issues related to the gastrointestinal system.
She is passionate about helping people heal naturally whenever possible. She believes that our bodies are self-healing organisms and in taking the right steps we can often allow our bodies to repair themselves. Elena is fascinated by how complex the human body is and views optimal health as a process that involves the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.
